Here are the steps necessary have your app posted in the SiteApps Marketplace:
Below we will discuss with more detail each of these steps and give some recommendations that could help you with your apps.
The first thing you have to do is create a SiteApps account.
If you already have an account with websites, but would also like to develop, visit our developers' page and click on the link on the top of the page to become a developer.
Click to create a new app from the developer's dashboard. You will be asked to complete the "app profile" form. Then you will have to input the "source code."
You may want to create a simpler "free" version of your app and then create a second "paid" version with all features. This way you can allow websites to implement your free app and eventually upgrade to the paid version.
You will have to describe your app and input the javascript code. Do try to create an attractive logo and upload interesting screenshots to help describe your app.
We strongly recommend that you create a specific support page for your app. SiteApps will offer a forum category for app support, but creating a page that further describes your app can help websites get a bigger picture
We strongly recommend that you review and thoroughly test your app code on various different sites. You can do this through the development interface. Here are tips on what to consider during the testing phase:
Once you've made sure you have properly described your app and tested the code, you can submit your app for approval.
As soon as you submit your app, our team will review your submission and either approve the app or send you feedback about some changes that may be necessary. This process usually takes less than 2 days. When SiteApps does approve your app, we will let you know via email.
The SiteApps team may update your code to make sure external files (such as images and CSS files) are hosted on the SiteApps servers. This also guarantees SSL compatibility.
If your app has been approved in step 6, it still will not be available on the SiteApps Marketplace. We purposely force the developer to release the app to the Marketplace. We do this because some developers may want to release an app on a specific date or time.
